Our History

1980's

Starting as a kid

Chris started smoking food when he was young, learning everything he knows from his father

2017

Making Jerky

Christian started making Beef Jerky as a hobby. He would make Jerky for his friends and family.

2018

Started Schrockbier Smokehouse

Chris and Kimberly took that hobby and formed what is now, Shrockbier Smokehouse, making and selling beef jerky around Kansas.

2023

Started Catering

Kim and Chris decided to branch out from Jerky, and started Catering BBQ in and around Emporia, KS.

2024

Opened Our Restauraunt

Kim and Chris saw an opportunity in Emporia to build a restaurant around their passion, and opened "Schrockbier Old Smokehouse" in Emporia, KS.
